Hickory-smoked flavor is synonymous with Southern and rustic cooking. Here is a great way to add smoke flavor to your dish without the smoker. Durango Hickory smoked salt is created when delicious Pacific sea salt flakes are naturally smoked with un-treated wood from the hickory tree. This is a Kosher, all-natural product as there is no artificial flavor added.

Try it with ribs, burgers or any red meat and even Southern-style ham or pork roast. Durango creates a nice smoky flavor when added to barbeque sauce, soups, gravy, salt cures and brines. For those who don’t have access to an outdoor grill, this Hickory-smoked Salt provides that desirable barbeque flavor you crave. Our most recent favorite use of smoked salt is to add it to pizza dough to create the flavor of a wood fired oven! May we suggest making that dough with central milling flour.
