This is the real deal for serious cherry lovers who demand a sweet natural flavor only Mother Nature can proudly produce. Open the classic old-world glass canning jar and succumb to a present day admirable addiction.
Suggestions: Black Cherry Jam is stimulating on toast and pastries. It works extremely well for baking recipes where the flavor of the preserve is everything. Use it with pancakes made with Central Milling Pastry Flour.
About Clearbrook Farms
For over 80 years, Clearbrook Farms has been jarring world-class preserves in the most simple and traditional method. They start by sourcing the best quality fresh fruits from the most fertile farms around the country. Then, adding only sugar, pectin, and citric acid, they preserve the fruits in beautiful re-usable old fashioned swing top jars.
“At Clearbrook Farms we believe in only using Grade-A fruit to make our preserves, butters, fillings, and sauces. We also insist that our fruit is grown by small, family-owned farms in the premium growing regions of the United States. Finally, we always demand that fruit is the number one ingredient in every fruit preserve we make. Such quality and dedication is what makes our products truly ‘Old-Fashioned.'”
“Jacob Liscow founded Clearbrook Farms in 1924. Obviously the business was quite different then. We started by making fruit fillings for Dolly Madison Bakeries. As the business grew, the company provided fruit fillings for manufactures of cookies, doughnuts, pastries, turnovers, and fruit pancake syrups. The next generation of the Liscow Family, Stanley Liscow, Mimi Liscow and her husband Jerome Cohen, decided to make special batches of the family’s favorite preserves. The preserves were not for resale; they were made only once a year, at the holidays, as gifts for family, friends, and business associates. This is when our family business made a commitment to buying the best fruit possible from family-owned farms.”
