The Askinosie Family makes all of their products from scratch. "Scratch" in this case is actually thoroughly researched, impeccable ingredients. Their Chocolate Hazelnut Spread starts with DuChilly hazelnuts from Holmquist Orchard in Lynden, Washington. Askinosie turns these into hazelnut butter at their factory in Spring Field Missouri. Then the butter is mixed for days in a melanuguer with their roasted cocoa nibs and cocoa powder- both made with beans sourced from Davao, Philippines. They call it "Bean to Jar" and are the only chocolate makers in the U.S. to make it from scratch.
